The Bank of America Tower at Legacy Union

The new office tower is the first installment to the “Legacy Union” development by Lincoln Harris at the site of the former Charlotte Observer building. Located next to the Bank of America Stadium, this 33-story tower features 200,000+ Sq.Ft. of Erie’s unitized and stick built ENVIRO|FACADESĀ® systems. The narrow bands of unitized curtain wall climb the tower to a total height of 603 ft. where a dramatic prismatic glass spire completes the form. Several rows of radially symmetrical accent frames wrap around the tower’s circumference, marking breaks in the unitized strip framing and accentuating the pre-cast cornices. The podium of the tower features a grand staircase leading up to a lofty curtain wall entrance facade. Legacy Union will be occupied in majority by the Bank of America, utilizing over half of the tower’s 1,000,000 Sq.Ft. of Class-A office space.
